Filip Lipiński

Art historian and critic. He studied art history and English at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and at University College London. Doctor of Art History. Since 2010 he has worked at the Department of Modern Art History of Adam Mickiewicz University as an assistant professor. From 2016 to 2019 he served as secretary and from 2020 as deputy editor-in-chief of the Artium Quaestiones academic journal. He is interested in modern and contemporary art and visual culture; United States art; methodology and theory of art history; links between art history and film / film studies. Author of the book Hopper Virtual. Images in a remembering gaze, academic articles in journals such as Oxford Art Journal, Artium Quaestiones and RIHA Journal,  translations of academic texts from English. He is an allumni of the Kosciuszko Foundation, Terra Foundation for American Art and Fulbright Foundation.
