Guidelines
We accepts submissions of texts and artistic projects in Polish or English on topics consistent with the scientific profile of the journal on an ongoing basis. We regularly publish CFPs for thematic issues on the journal's website. We do not charge authors any fees.
We require all authors to read and accept our publication ethics and misconduct policy before submitting their work. We only accept original, unpublished texts that have not been submitted for publication elsewhere. Submission of a text is tantamount to a declaration by all persons involved in the preparation of the material that they are responsible for all aspects of it; an assurance that all stages of the research have been conducted transparently and ethically and scientifically, in accordance with the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity; and a statement that the work does not infringe the copyright of third parties. Submission of the text implies consent to subject it to an anti-plagiarism procedure and double-blind peer review. In the event of controversial comments related to a published article, we provide authors with the opportunity to respond to them, and all texts contributing to the discussion are marked accordingly.
Sections of the journal
Scientific articles written in Polish or English and falling within the scientific profile of the journal may be submitted to the following sections: Close Up (reviewed in a double-blind procedure, covering original scientific articles related to the theme of a given issue), Panorama (including double-blind peer-reviewed review and problem-oriented articles), Viewpoint (including presentations of artistic research, internally peer-reviewed). Reviews of books, exhibitions or films are welcome in the Snapshots section, while conversations and other forms of writing are welcome in the Perspectives section.
Online Submissions
Articles in the .odt, .doc or .docx formats are to be submitted to the e-mail address: redakcja@pismowidok.org.
Feel invited to submit articles relevant to the journal profile and meeting the formal requirements stated here. Contributions submitted otherwise, incompatible with the stated editorial standard or not accompanied by necessary attachments will not be accepted.
The editorial team decides on the launch of the peer review process and potential copy editing on the basis of a complete submission. We do not evaluate abstracts or ideas for articles. A positive result of a consultation of such material is not equivalent to accepting an article for publication.
PLEASE NOTE! Submission of a text is equivalent to consent to its publication regulated by conditions stipulated in the journal’s editorial policy.
