Kamila Dworniczak
Art historian, assistant professor at the Department of Art Theory, Institute of Art History, University of Warsaw. Her research interests include theoretical and cultural perspectives on photography, intermediality in art during the communist era, and artistic practices based on spirituality. Author of the book Rodzina człowiecza. Recepcja wystawy “The Family of Man” w Polsce a humanistyczny paradygmat fotografii (Rodzina człowiecza: The Reception of the Exhibition “The Family of Man” in Poland and the Humanistic Paradigm of Photography) (2021), co-editor of the volume Enchanted Socialist Modernity. Art of Central and Eastern Europe (1945-1989) in the Face of Alternative Spirituality (2025, together with Justyna Balisz-Schmelz). Head of the research project Alternative Forms of Spirituality in Polish Art 1945–1989, funded by the National Science Centre (2024–).
