Marek Kawka

Graduate of the Visual Culture programme at the University of Warsaw’s Institute of Polish Culture. His interests include class, visual representations of affect, and genre in both old and new media, especially relating to narratives about the self. In the years 2023–2024 he worked in the project “Representations of Popular Classes in Contemporary Polish Visual Culture” under the direction of Magda Szcześniak and Krzysztof Świrek (grant Nowe Idee 3B under “The Excellence Initiative - Research University” programme).
