Mette Sandbye

Mette Sandbye, PhD., Professor of Photography Studies, Department of Arts and Cultural Studies, University of Copenhagen. Mette has researched and taught photography as art, cultural history, and everyday culture since the 1990s. Editor of the first Danish history of photography (Dansk Fotografihistorie, 2004). Her latest research interests are the family photo album from the 1960s until today and early women studio photographers in Scandinavia, 1860–1920.
