London-based artist who has been exploring the public functions of archives, museums, and exhibitions, focusing on the missing voices of women. Projects include the Women’s Audio Archive (2009); Undoing Property? (co-edited with Laurel Ptak) (2013); It’s About Time, for the 58th Venice Biennale (2019); Enthusiasts Archive (with Neil Cummings) (2019); and Dismantling the Faculty of Law (2021). She was also the inaugural Artist-in-Residence at the Cosmic House, London, resulting in the sound installation how to pass through a door (2022). Other voice-based works include Welcome (2023) at the Kestner Gesellschaft, Hannover; and Recording_1989 at the Kunsthalle, Baden Baden (2023). She recently published Ewa Mikina. Teksty z lat 1991 - 2012 (co-edited with Jakub Gawkowski) (2023). She served as Professor of Art in the Public Realm at Konstfack, Stockholm (2003–2013), and is a member of Tate Modern Advisory Group.
