Eliza Rose
Eliza Rose received her Ph.D. in Slavic Languages and Literatures from Columbia University in 2020. She is Assistant Professor of Central European Studies in the Department of Germanic & Slavic Languages and Literatures at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her area of research are literature, art and film from Poland and East Central Europe. She investigates how visual culture expresses changing attitudes toward science, technology and industry in the Socialist Bloc. Her book project is a cultural history of art festivals and amateur film clubs in the industrial workplace in late-socialist Poland.
