Róża Duda & Michał Soja
Róża Duda (1993) and Michał Soja (1994) form a duo of multimedia artists working with animation, film and installation. They have presented their works at film festivals such as Kurzfilmtage Winterthur 2018, Lo schermo dell'arte Film Festival 2018 in Florence, Guanajuato International Film Festival 2016 in Mexico, “Message to Man” International Film Festival 2016 in St. Petersburg or 56 Krakow Film Festival. They took part in the 11th edition of Warsaw Under Construction (Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw), as well as in exhibitions at The Brno House of Arts, Arts et Amicitae in Amsterdam, Fondation Hippocrène in Paris, Magasins Generaux in Paris, Le Murate Progetti Arte Contemporanea in Florence or the National Museum in Krakow. They were nominated for the KNAF award established in honor of Leszek Knaflewski by the Arsenal City Gallery in Poznań, and received the Critics' Award at the Exhibition of the Best Diplomas of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk in 2018, as well as a distinction in the Grey House Foundation Competition in 2017. Their previous film “I'm a Miner's Son” was awarded the second prize in the Polish Competition during the 2019 Short Waves festival in Poznań.
