Max Cegielski
Writer, curator, researcher. Over the years, he has written reportages including 'Oko Świata. Od Konstantynopola do Stambułu', for which he received the Beata Pawlak Award. In 2020, his novel 'Prince Polonia' was published, two years later 'Nazywam się Czogori”, and in October 2023 the essays 'Kongo w Polsce. Włóczęgi z Josephem Conradem'. Author of art projects, including Migrating Mickiewicz University (Istanbul 2014), with Jan Simon curator of the exhibitions Polish-Indian Shop/Prince Polonia (Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, Clark House Initiative in Mumbai, Trafo in Szczecin; 2017-2018) and co-author of the installation One Man Does Not Rule a Nation (Ljubljana Biennale, Survival Kit - Riga, 2023). A graduate of the Faculty of Artes Liberales, his academic work deals with the relations of the People's Republic of Poland with the countries of the Global South.
