Olga Stanisławska

Journalist and essayist. She studied English literature in Warsaw and Aix-en-Provence. Her texts were published in “Gazeta Wyborcza”, “Tygodnik Powszechny”, “Polityka”. Her book Rondo de Gaulle’a [De Gaulle Square] (2001) – the fruit of one-year long voyage from Casablanca to Kinshasa – was granted the Fundacja Kościelskich Prix. She writes about dilemmas of multicultural societies, minorities, problem of the Other. Together with Borys Lankosz, she is the author of (Z innej strony: Francja [From a Different Angle: France] (2006) - a documentary about French Muslims for the Polish Television. She is a member of the jury of Ryszard Kapuściński Prix for the best literary reportage and the jury of Beata Pawlak Prix. She lives in Paris.
