CUCO — curatorial concepts berlin e.V.
CUCO is a young curatorial collective from Berlin. Its members are the art scholars Hanna Dölle, Katherina Perlongo and Annika Turkowski. The non-profit association works at the interface between contemporary art, research and education. It promotes emerging and established contemporary artists and conceives exhibitions that reflect urgent and current social issues from an artistic perspective.The collective understands its work as a process of mutual learning, and the interdisciplinary exchange of experience and knowledge.
Hanna Dölle is a freelance curator and author. She is currently working on her dissertation project „Between the sacred and the profane. Re-use of post-modernist churches "at the Bauhaus University Weimar. She studied art history and psychology in Munich and Berlin and was a research assistant at the Institute of Art and Visual History at the Humboldt University, where she worked on various research and publication projects, including the Aby Warburg edition "Letters". She was assistant of bio-artist Theresa Schubert and worked for the gallery Winterberg Munich and the Deutsche Bank Kunsthalle.
Katherina Perlongo is a curator and art mediator. She completed her studies in art history in Graz and Berlin, and has since worked for the Grazer Kunstverein and the photo library of the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florence. From 2011 to 2013 she worked as an art mediator in the Department of Visitor Services / Educational Projects of Museion - Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Bolzano. From 2016 to 2018 she completed her curatorial traineeship at the Georg Kolbe Museum in Berlin. Currently she is curator of educational at the Georg Kolbe Museum in Berlin.
Annika Turkowski studied art history and curating in Hamburg, Berlin and London. She is a freelance curator and translator for artist books and exhibition catalogues. In addition, she is the manager for the book distribution Vice Versa Art Books. From 2013 to 2017 she worked as editor and translator for the research and publishing collective Archive Books and Journal. She has worked for Neue Galerie New York, Hamburger Kunsthalle and Kunstverein Harburger Bahnhof in various capacities. She lives in Berlin.
